Swamp Dragon

Everyone loves Dragons in Age of Sigmar. Although they are much more killable.

Based on a heavily converted Dark elf Black Dragon I found cheap on eBay.

A mane of static grass (above) and some antlers (below) complete this stage of building.

Ghost Rider

My "local" GW is having it's 20th birthday this weekend. They are celebrating (No, not by playing classic games like Blood Bowl and Necromunda) with a series of mini games. One of which is a race based on bastardised Formula D rules.

To enter one needs a racer.

So I made one....

Okay Nurgle, all these gifts are starting to get awkward.

Fisnished 2 more Nurgle Knights.

This one started as an excuse to try scuplting a maw where the pilot hatch should be and turned out not too shabby.

By contrast my diving suit Crusader is a bit of a flop.

Alas my Chaos knights project has fallen out of favour and these 2 will join the others on eBay.

Too Many Gifts

Oh Plaguefather Nurgle if you keep being this generous with your gifts, people are going to talk.

Subtlety and Guile...

...are not important with mammoths.

It's more of a fire and forget creature.

Next I need to build some sort of howdah to house the marauders and/or Dark elves crewing it.

Maybe some armour plates too.

Papa Nurgle has new gifts to bestow.

One of the advantages of building a Nurgle themed force is that you can buy beaten-up second-hand knights and just cover them in blight.

Blood, Varnish and Glitter: Part 2

Looks like it's done.

It needs more chains but I have misplaced my spares.

I should have gone with Khorne. Much better on the charge.

My Slanneshi Knight Lancer needed a suitable shield. The standard imperial one simply wouldn't do.

It needed to be more FABULOUS.

I glued a couple of layers of plasticard together, bolted on the Dark Prince's rune and had something a bit more like it.

Base colours.

Highlights, shades and a ton of varnish later. 

 

The whole knight will be covered in horrible, but slightly sexy, lacquer.

Herald of the Flylord: Finished

Glued to one of my lava bases.

And so the first member of my terrible Chaos horde is ready to spread some ruination.

Now he needs some backup.

Something new... er... For Chaos

Sometimes (almost always) I'll think of something, build it and then realise  it needs to count as something.

This was one of those times.

I had an ogre torso and a big skull. What else was I going to do?

Throw on some dragon ogre hooked blades and we get.

Yeah it's a silly pose but it sorta works better in person.

After a little work getting just the right rust effect, and painting the shoulder pelt, he is almost finished.

I removed him for the base while I work on it.

Still needs an awful lot of detailing, but it has a couple of maws now.

Menial servitors

I have seen these little guys in a couple of places now. I have a big bag of unwanted goblins so I thought I'd make some mini-servitors.

More to come, I just need to source some tiny machine deailes for them.

A friend and I had a recent conversation about the messed-uppidness of servitors when used for normal tasks. A mindless fusion of flesh and machine mopping the floor or doing the dishes is so much scarier than using them for battle.

80s sci-fi tells me that bright purple is the colour of psychic things.

Still deciding if the tube should be empty or if I should try adding some clear water effect resin.
